Known for her fearless solo journey from Pakistan’s southern coastline to its majestic northern mountains, Rosie brings her wealth of experience and passion for adventure to this unforgettable expedition. we take off on 18th June 2025
Your adventure begins in Islamabad, Pakistan’s vibrant capital, where you’ll arrive and prepare for the journey ahead. The next morning, a scenic flight to Skardu offers breathtaking aerial views of the Karakoram Range, with a highlight being Nanga Parbat (8,126m), the world’s ninth-highest peak, standing tall with its snow-covered slopes piercing the sky. After landing in the rugged yet beautiful Skardu Valley, you’ll set off towards Khaplu, a charming town known for its historic palace, ancient mosques, and stunning landscapes. Retracing your route, you’ll ride back to Skardu before taking on a dramatic challenge—the legendary Deosai Plateau, one of the highest and most remote national parks in the world, home to Himalayan wildlife and vast rolling plains. Descending into Astore, a picturesque valley with glacial rivers and alpine meadows, the journey continues towards Hunza, following the iconic Karakoram Highway past deep gorges, towering peaks, and the confluence of three great mountain ranges: the Himalayas, Karakoram, and Hindu Kush.
A well-deserved rest day in Hunza allows time to explore its rich cultural heritage, from the centuries-old Baltit Fort to the breathtaking viewpoints of Eagle’s Nest, where the whole valley unfolds beneath you. The next leg of the journey takes you to the Khunjerab Pass, the world’s highest border crossing into China at 4,693m, offering dramatic landscapes and a sense of being on top of the world. After returning to Gulmit, a peaceful village where you’ll experience Wakhi culture, visit historic homes, and explore traditional craft centers, an exhilarating challenge awaits—a daring off-road ride to Shimshal, one of Pakistan’s most isolated settlements, accessible only by a narrow, winding trail through steep valleys and hanging bridges. The return to Hunza provides another opportunity to soak in its magic, with options to hike to Ultar Glacier or relax by the striking blue waters of Attabad Lake, a natural wonder formed after a massive landslide.
As the journey nears its end, you ride back to Skardu, crossing breathtaking mountain highways with panoramic views of the Karakoram Range. Finally, a scenic flight back to Islamabad once again offers a chance to witness Nanga Parbat’s towering presence, a fitting farewell to the mountains that have been your home for the past two weeks. Throughout this adventure, you’ll not only ride through some of the world’s most spectacular landscapes but also immerse yourself in the warmth of local communities, experience ancient traditions, and conquer the challenges of riding through high-altitude terrain. This is more than just a motorcycle journey—it’s an exploration of nature, culture, and adventure at its most raw and rewarding.
The tour is priced at $3,500 for a 12-day all-inclusive motorcycle tour in Pakistan; if you are a pillion rider or not a biker but are still looking to join the trip, you will benefit from a discounted special rate of $2,750.
